I was born in the early 70s in Orlando, Florida. At 5 days old I moved to Queens New York and embarked upon my musical journey. My first kazoo was handed to me, a plastic little joint, from a local grocery store shopkeeper. Kind man. He saw the daggers in my eyes that were destined for the kazoo.

At 4 I was playing on the streets for money. Waiting outside of stores, on the apartment steps. I was blowing that sweet sweet kazoo with all my might.

By 9 I was traveling alone.. Bus station to bus station; playing the instrument nobody knew they needed to hear, but were amazed once they did. The mighty Kazoo.

Sometimes destiny happens. I was born Richard Azoo. Love child of a married factory worker and slutty local girl who had to run to Orlando to have the baby And chase her dreams of being a Disney Cast Member. Over time people naturally called me Dick and it happened.

Dick Azoo aka Dude I Can Kazoo, became the way people knew me. Dick Azoo the Kazoo King was forged in the fiery depths of hell. A lot of trials and tribulations along the way that I will share over time. From dining with David Coverdale to playing Kazoo at a White Lion record release party my journey of rock-n-roll has been nothing short of magical.
